We used Atty. Farley's office 10 years ago when we purchased our home in upstate. The office was fantastic at that time. As a result we reached out when we were selling the property. Our experience was not the same as a seller vs buyer. We had to reach out for follow ups. Our closing was changed the business day before. Closing finally took place on August 30th. We were told paperwork and check would, be sent overnight. We finally received the check Satuday, September 11th via USPS 2nd day mail. The check was dated August 31st the day after closing. The check we received was not issued as a cashier's or certified check. As a result we needed to wait the normal 10 business days for the check to clear. Just to recap. Closing, Monday August 30th. Buyers have possession of home, August 30th. Seller receives check on September 11th. Twelve days after closing. Check deposited on Saturday, September 11th. Check finally cleared and funds available to sellers on Wednesday, September 22nd. Which is 23 days after closing.
