Vince and Veronica run a clean and friendly road-side business that is a blast from the past - the old ice-cream shop was alive and running 40 years ago when I was a kid, but stood vacant for a long time before V&V came along and fixed it all up. You can tell they are passionate about their work as they have poured their blood sweat and tears into restoring this wonderful roadside eatery. With great salads, and anything you can imagine coming off the grill, they are as close to providing diner food as you can get without going to a diner - I highly recommend their version of a philly steak sandwhich with peppers, onions and melted cheese! YUM! Ice cream to top off a meal or on its own is always great. Right on Rte 145 between Cairo and East Durham, stop in and see them! You won't regret it.
