I just went to Big Tree to purchase an orange wine that I had purchased there previously. The woman at the front desk, she was wearing a pink satin mask, was patronizing and not helpful at all. She didn't seemed interested in helping me figure out what the wine was - she just kept repeating that they didn't have an orange wine from Chile. Like woman - I UNDERSTAND that. Help me place it and point me in the direction that's helpful. Once I told her that I understood her and wanted to find something similar, she just mentioned the other skin contact bottles and said "The bottles start at $28 and go up from there." TERRIBLE customer service. She was supposed to helpful and was very much the opposite of that. I've dealt with her on other occasions where she wasn't nice, but this instance took the cake.

Pretty good, if somewhat small selection, focusing on natural wines. Their online interface is well designed and easy to use and speeds up the process of shopping in the store. Had an awkward moment with the cashier, which set the vibe off. I asked if the bottle of Patrice Colin "Perles Grises" was a rose (its quite light so I couldn't tell by looking through the bottle) the cashier responded by saying it was and that it was indicated by the word "grises", which I not only found to be a bit pretentious, but also it was just wrong: "perles grises" means "grey pearls" in french. How would that indicate a rose? And wouldn't a simple "yes" suffice to inform a curious customer?

Overpriced. Bought two bottles to try new orange wine, after opening got surprised by it being very very sweet. Got back to get something else. Unfortunately they won't take second bottle back. Service is nice but policies are not flexible. Won't be shopping here no more.
