        I walked in asking for help, I usually do my taxes myself. But, as this year the city payroll is down and has been for two weeks, I thought I should get guidance. The woman at the front desk, Elizabeth, was helpful and friendly. She indicated I could use my pay stubs and come back the following day. So I got my documents together and came back the following day. I explained the situation again, indicating I had come the previous day and confirmed that they could help. The women in front today (Saturday) refused to help. When I explained the situation they were immediately suspicious, using the words "supposedly" and "claims" to describe my situation to one another. I indicate it's in the news, named several outlets, and it isn't an individual situacin. I could show the website, I said. So they could confirm, if they wanted to. They did not want to review my documents or verify what I said. "I don't work for Politico, I work for H and R block". Amazing. Thanks ladies.
