I do not mind paying money for good quality..I did not get that here. When I have to add to my food to help save the meal, I think that's crazy. The waiters tried their best to accommodate. But what's good service with trash food..never again 1 chance too many that place needs a life line...

Went to the place to celebrate a birthday. We were lucky enough to get a table without a reservation. Our waiter was nice but throughout the dinner service, she failed miserably at being a waiter. It took her forever to take our orders. Forever to refill our water. Didn't even bother to check on our food until I had asked her to because it was taking so long. Entrees: We had the BBQ ribs and Blackened Seafood Platter. Sides: Candid yams, collard greens, mac & cheese, sauteed spinach. I liked the seafood platter a lot. The salmon and catfish were cooked perfectly. The meat flaked off nicely. They were heavy handed on the salt/seasoning, but that's what soulfood is like. The BBQ ribs were okay. I prefer Dallas BBQ ribs more. The Candid yams were just okay when compared to home cooked candid yams. Their sauce was watered down and the yams weren't that fresh in my opinion. The collard greens were on the sweeter side. Probably too much sugar added. The mac & cheese is above average. Definitely a side worth getting. The cheese wasn't runny. The sauteed spinach tasted okay. It didn't taste like it was sauteed. It was kind of soggy tasting. Overall, the seafood platter was the best. Service was sub-par. The portions they gave you definitely fills you up but not every entree was spot on. In terms of soulfood, I would rather pay my family to make this food for me.
