I've grown up on the Ale House. The food has always been good, if not great. Great selection of rotating draft/bottled beer. Their wait-staff has gone down hill. In one night: - host skipped the two of us to say hi to a group of 9 and seating them first. - host didn't escort us to our tables. gave us our menus and told us to sit wherever. the booths were reserved for tables of 4 (walking out, there were 2's in the booths) - beer took 10 minutes to get. when asked, was quipped "i don't pour the drinks." I know you don't pour it, but maybe something happened - I would have loved to know. - food took long enough another couple ordered and was nearly done when our meal arrived, even though we sat down first I feel bad having to write this. 5 or so years back I swore off the place after being asked to leave having shortly finished our meals, that they needed the table. I guess this is good bye Pete's Waterfront. It was a great first 6 years.

I just stopped by here briefly because my friends had beer coupons from the Brokelyn Beer Book. But it's worth mentioning that they have a fantastic chocolate pecan bacon torte. I don't care for bacon-themed things, so please don't think it's because of that. But wow. What was supposed to be a dessert for myself ended up being shared with three other people. It's that good.
