Hagstrom NYC

DO NOT WORK WITH THEM- THEY ARE SCAMMERS. Applied for an apt. with them in August and was told to put down a deposit to take the room off the market. I was promised if I didn't get the room, I'd get the deposit back in 5-7 business days. I didn't get the room, and when I inquired about my refund, I was ghosted. They would take months at a time to respond to emails, lied about my check being on it's way in the mail, etc. In December I finally showed up at their "office" (glass cubicle in a shared workspace?) and told a broker they needed to get me in contact with someone who could get me my money IMMEDIATELY. I ended up getting my money back after they directed me to their real office but it was like they were hoping I would just give up and forget about it. I have never been more disgusted with how a company conducts business.

I honestly dont know where to start when speaking about how incredible my experience with Emilia and Hagstrom has been. Emilia is incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, and her communication and responsiveness throughout the entire process from scheduling a viewing to signing made for such an easy and seamless process. Hagstrom truly rocks and Ill definitely be recommending Emilia and Hagstrom as soon as I can to anyone who I learn needs the support and services. I thought Hagstrom and Jadine P. did a phenomenal job helping us with our apartment process. While she represented the landlord, she acted professionally and in our best interest. We were difficult clients for a variety reasons but her and her firm remained trustworthy, empathetic, and patient throughout the process. One part I was nervous on was getting our credit for the second month of rent. I am wary of brokers in New York taking deposits unjustly, but they provided me a check within two business days and I had no issues. The landlord also told me on the phone that Jadine was a very trustworthy broker and has never had an issues for years. Clearly, they have a positive reputation across landlords and tenants. On Street-easy, it also says she has done over 950 rentals, so Jadine / Hagstrom have vast experience. Overall, I had a very positive experience with Hagstrom. I thought they were responsive and well-run. I would recommend working with them if you are in the city! I wish I could give them higher than five stars.

jadine was sooo great. she responded mad quick to my first call and showed me the apartment the next day. She also gave me super crucial tips on how to prove my income as freelancer. so dope !
