Chao was absolutely wonderful, and I'm so glad that we found him. He was responsive and understanding during the rescheduling of our wedding. He showed up on time and took photographs during the ceremony and reception without being distracting to our guests. He helped guide us in couples and family photos and the results are amazing!! He tells a story with his photographs and managed to catch all the best moments. He also has a calm energy and helped to keep things moving without adding any stress -- a professional and an artist. If youre reading this, youre probably looking for a photographer for your wedding or special occasion. Youve probably also realized by now that the planning process can be a little stressful. Of all the reasons we LOVED Chao as our wedding photographer, the number one thing we really appreciated was how easy he made our lives leading up to, during, and after the wedding. Working with Chao added zero stress to our wedding (and planning,) which in retrospect was the greatest value. Many of our guests commented on how he was everywhere, without ever being in the way - always just in the right spot to capture the moment. He communicated well leading up to and during the wedding, took initiative on his own to get great pictures during down time (ie, while the groom and bridal parties were getting ready,) and provided the right amount of instruction to coordinate shots with family, friends, etc. After the wedding, his turnaround time with sample photos, the full reel, and mocking up photo books was all better than expected. Just about anyone with a high-end camera can stage a decent-looking photo, but not everyone knows how to capture a moment. An over-the-shoulder of the parents of the bride laugh-crying during the ceremony? Nailed it. I could go on, but that intuition is what makes Chao different, and our first call anytime we need professional photos.
For context, we had 150 guests, did first look photos, and never felt rushed or like we missed moments. Chao shot solo. Did I mention we LOVED the photos?! Chao, thank you again for capturing our wedding so elegantly!

Wow!! We found Chao on Google and he got back to me very quickly to plan out details. He was flexible on the timing of our appointment - he even reached out before hand to move around our appointment to accomdate expected bad weather! Chao scouted out our location beforehand and had plenty of shots and poses already in mind which made the day seamless. The photos were returned quickly and are so beautiful. We are so grateful to have this wonderful set of engagement photos!
