traveling art shack

Having the Traveling Art Shack for my daughter's birthday was the best decision I made. With years of experience working with children and art, as well as studying art therapy, Darlene's expertise is evident. She kept the kids entirely entertained for the duration of the party making slime, adding colors, and shaving cream for fluffy slime. She had extra activities so the kids were quiet, busy, and engaged the entire time leaving us adults with a few hours reprieve for adult conversation. She even made the goody bags, sending the kids home with their own creations, etc. Everyone remarked on what a terrific and magical party it was. I couldn't recommend her more highly. Darlene made our 6 y.o daughters birthday party magical. Lots of fun crafting! Darlene was responsive and came up with a ton of ideas for the party to fit with the theme. The communication was great. During the party, Darlene kept the children engaged and busy as they moved smoothly from one activity to another. Within one hour, they decorated lanterns and fairy Wands. The set up was lovely, the goody bags were beautiful. And of course, Covid protocole was very much implemented! We had a blast!

Darlene made my daughter's "slime party" dreams come true! She is the perfect combination of fun and relaxed and kids and adults respond well to her energy. She makes you feel at ease and engages kids with confidence and skill (I have never seen more perfect slime!). She also brought small crafts and tattoos and other things to engage kids before and after the slime. A perfect at home party. I recommend her without reservation and with enthusiasm. Call her!

So glad we found Darlene and the Traveling Art shack. We could not have asked for a better event for our son's birthday. Darlene arrived with a suitcase full of activities and equipment for all the children to create, design, experiment and decorate. The main event was a slime party, however Darlene provided an abundance of extra and alternate activities at every glance. Although the activities and materials were engaging and enjoyable for the kids, none of them would have been as impactful if it wernt for Darlene herself!! What a truly warm and dedicated person. She engaged with the children with such kindness, excitement and expertise. They were in total awe as she guided, helped, supported and created an atmosphere of calm creativity and fun all at the same time!! I cannot recommend her highly enough. She was also kind enough to share ideas, recommendations for websites and even some pics of the children enjoying themselves that she took! Thank you Darlene!!!

Darlene did crafts with the kids at my daughter's 4th birthday party. She kept the kids occupied for well more than an hour, and they had a great time with her, drawing, stamping, and gluing decorations to bags which they then took home. Darlene has a great energy with kids, is punctual and organized.
