They are still at it, please don't fall for this. I worked for a bank and knew from the first conversation but played along for the heck of it and to waste their time. I have the fake check too. Only deal with local people and cash/venmo or cashapp but only in person.

They tried to buy something from us on Craigslist. All of our communication seemed fishy. They were buying a bed sight unseen. They sent a check for far in excess of agreed price, the difference was to be for the moving company. Seemed very irregular and they were most anxious for us to cash the check so movers could come to pick up. When I tried to cash their cashiers check, the bank confiscated it and informed us it was a scam. Don't do business with them.

Please read all of the reviews before you deposit the cashier check! They will scam you by telling you they're out of town when they want to buy your stuff off of Craigslist, want to send you a cashier check, and send you the check via overnight mail. Then they'll push you to get the movers to come ASAP, to make you deposit the check asap, and pay for their movers. I was almost scammed by them but caught it in time, and the bank immediately confiscated the check. If I could give a zero, I would.
