Gregory Levitin, MD

I am a 46 year old man and have been suffering from severe congestion and sinus headaches for years. My headaches got so bad and debilitating that I could not function as a human being. I went to see Dr. Gregory Levitin and after ordering a CT scan, he quickly diagnosed my issues. He clearly explained his plan to perform a balloon sinuplasty procedure in his office in NYC. The procedure was quick and painless. Dr. Levitin explained each step during the procedure, which made me feel very comfortable. My recovery took about 3 days after which I started to breath from my nose again, for the first time in 20 years. I highly recommend Dr. Levitin to everyone.

I wouldn’t recommend him at all. I have been seeing for 3-4montth and he was nice saying “We will fix this, don’t worry” etc etc. In the end he recommended me to ballon synoplasty surgery for my nasal congestion. Surgery didn’t help me at all. After surgery he saw me few times and realized surgery wasn’t successful. He said we gonna do another surgery and told me follow up about insurance approval. I after 3-4 weeks I called office to follow up insurance approval for the surgery but staff wouldn’t make appointment saying “Dr Levitin not taking my insurance” and he stopped responding my emails. When I asked since when Dr stopped taking my insurance, they won’t give exact response. How can any Dr all of sudden stops taking insurance? I have been seeing him for few months and he was taking my insurance at that time. Even if they stop, they don’t usually stop taking in middle of the year. Or they usually warn you in advance. He didn’t even respond to my emails after emailed him. He could say “he was sorry that he stopped taking my insurance etc” but no. No response. Before that he was responding my emails. I wasted my 3-4months going for him and unnecessary surgery.

Dr. Levintin has been my E.N.T. for a while and I would not trade him for anything, I'm in Brooklyn and he no longer has an office there but I'm more than willing to travel to Manhattan to see him. He recently did a balloon sinuplasty procedure and it changed my life! I can breathe better, it has helped me to better taste my food allowing me to change my diet and also sleep without snoring which means better sleep. Dr. Gregory M. Levintin is patient, kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and overall personable doctor. I highly recommend him if you need a ear, nose and throat doctor!

Dr. Levitin is fantastic! First, he actually takes the time to get to know you, no rushing here - rare these days. He genuinely listens to your concerns and comes up with solutions. I had been told from various doctors for DECADES that I was suffering from chronic sinusitis. A CAT scan (which other doctors didn't even bother to do) revealed a condition that was corrected with minor procedure. I was unaware before this what it was like to actually breathe with fully open sinuses. Talk about a new lease on (breathing) life - what a fantastic feeling! Follow-ups are diligent: every week for 3 weeks and then again in 2 weeks. A final follow-up is when the weather gets cold. Now that's being thorough! His staff (especially Beverly) is fantastic - friendly and efficient. Never a long wait and the Manhattan office is immaculate. I highly recommend Dr. Levitin as he is something that you rarely see these days - an extremely competent doctor who makes you feel so at ease and is genuinely empathetic.
