Called to donate gently used children’s items and was told that they only accept new items. Seems to be a disservice to the population by decreasing the amount of community help that they will accept. Getting new items is great, but should not turn down assistance as long as the items are in good condition.

Called to ask if they accept clothing and winter gear for donation and I was advised that they only accept brand new clothing. For being a shelter, that seems a bit negligent. I’m sure patrons would rather have something (very good condition) than not. Shame.
