Overpriced. Paid $14 for 4 bell peppers and a tomato. Prices not listed. Have also been charged more than the listed price twice... $4.99 for a packet of chips with a $3.49 tag, and $7.98 for listed price of $5. Save money and go to the fresh vegetable market a block down the road.

They have almost everything you could want for organic, vegan and vegetarian cooking. So happy to have this place with loose grains and dried beans, fresh produce, a juice bar, a pharmacy with natural remedies, and baked goods. Cannot recomm more!!

Tons of the food is past expiration date. Truly disgusting and deplorable. Some were meats over a month!

Arguably more important than the stock, this store is staffed by very kind people. They're always ready to check stock, ascertain when something will be delivered, or look in the newly delivered, unpacked boxes to find what you don't see on the shelves. When I hobbled in on crutches, two managers let me know that, whilst they don't have "a system in place for deliveries", they would have someone walk me home -- a couple of blocks away -- with my purchases or bring them to me later in the day, as I preferred. The shelves are packed; there's no shortage of choice. In terms of price, it's like anyplace else: some items are consistently pricey, whilst others are bargains. The former is offset by frequent sales. There are staff members who know supplements inside and out. If you want to balance a healthy bank account with a healthy body, then they'll hear that, and help you find what you need, within the financial and nutritional parameters you need. (They won't presume a pill is vegan because it's in a vegetarian capsule, and send you home with something you cannot use.) Staff members are quick to recognize and acknowledge return customers, which turns a corner shop into a community. All of that aside, it's an asset having a shop within strolling distance of the subway station and bus stops. Sometimes, you don't want to take a train, bus, or hike to a larger health food store. In this neighborhood, Downtown Natural Market is a definite win.
