Bensonhurst Smiles

I was way overdue for a cleaning, when I started feeling some pain in my gum where I had had root canal many years ago. Marica squeezed me into the schedule, and Dr. Lau cleaned my teeth and then gave me an extra measure of time explaining what may be causing the pain, and detailing his plan of action to remedy it. In this day of "urgent care", it is almost impossible to see your primary health care professionals in an emergency. I very much appreciate how Bensonhurst Smiles responded to my need.

I had a very negative experience. The whole appointment took only five minutes, probably because he was multi-tasking/serving two other patients in the other rooms. The doctor did not even bother to clean my teeth properly, and when I needed water on a few occasions to clean blood strains from my mouth - he ignored me, again assuming ye was rushing to get to the other patients. The most disappointing factor was that when I inform him of my tooth pain, his response was I dont see anything, maybe a root canal specialist can tell you better and he walked away telling the nurse we are done. I wasted my time and the health insurance coverage on here. Look somewhere else.

Making an appointment was effortless, arriving on time there was almost no wait getting in the dental chair, the dental assistant and Dr. Lau treated me very carefully with the least amount of discomfort. Having gone to Bensonhurst Smiles for several years, my wife (who has had to have more extensive dental work) and I are very satisfied. I no longer cringe about going to the dentist, and readily make my appointments to keep my teeth in good condition.
