I'm really glad I found him!! I have had my RCA surround sound system for years now. I think the model number is RT2911. I have all the speakers hung already in place for years, so when my receiver just stopped working one day, just wouldn't power on anymore. Getting a new system was out cause I didn't wanna redo the speaker hanging and wiring etc. So I figured I'll just look for any cheap receiver with the same speaker connections. But I quickly learned that a similar kind receiver, for 5.1 channel, 1000watts, isn't cheap at all. A couple of hundred at least.. so my only other option was looking for a used one of the exact model. Luckily I found one on eBay, it wasn't in perfect condition at all. But good enough for how I used it. So I've been using that used one for a couple of months now. A few days ago it shut down in the middle of using it, And dead. wouldn't turn back on. So I had these 2 dead RCA receivers, I looked for another used one on eBay, no luck this time. So I figured let me try to get these repaired, so I started looking on Google for local electronics repair shops. This one wasn't too far from me, so I drove over with both boxes. I told him to please look at them see if he can get at least one working. He said give me a few days I'll call you with a price etc. I was thinking Hmmm, shouldn't I get a paper stating that I left 2 receivers here?? But he just told me ok I'll call you in a couple of days. I figured oh well, he has a business here he isn't gonna rip me off for a broken audio receiver. (Right?!) So I just asked him for his business card and left. That was only yesterday, today in the morning he called me told me I can fix it for $65 can be ready later today or tomorrow. So I asked him what about the other one? He said oh I didn't check that completely, let me check that one and call you back. He called back a couple of hours later, said the second one isn't worth fixing, and the 1st one is ready for pickup. So I thought ok oh well, at least I have one working well, but then I thought I should ask him for both boxes back, I can still maybe have use for it for parts etc. And who knows if he isn't fixing it up and selling it himself.... Again my suspicious mind. But when I got there, he had both boxes ready for me to take back, so I didn't even have to ask for it. He showed me which one he fixed, plugged it in to show me it powers on. I paid the $65 and was out. So I got home, plugged in all the speaker cables, hooked up the coaxial cable I use for tv audio. Plugged it in, and it works perfectly! So it took him 1 day to fix it, price is reasonable. And it's a pleasure doing business with honest people. I'll definitely recommend him to everyone I know. And will for sure use him for any future repairs I'll need. Thanks guys.
