Mac Cosmetics

This has been my go to Mac store for years now. I don't own a lot of makeup so when I go to this location, I am always happy with my purchases. The store is always clean and well stocked. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful.

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received at the mac store (152 Montague St, New York, NY 11201) recently. I have been a loyal customer for a decade now and unfortunately I had to encounter the worst attitude last week. I received a mac gift card on my birthday ($250.) Unfortunately while traveling I had my purse stolen, which contained the gift card. When I arrived back in town, I called the mac gift card customer service. They instructed me that I would be able to retrieve the card numbers from the store it was purchased. Last week I went to the store in Brooklyn Heights and was met with a rude manager that condescendingly insinuated this was a lost cause. She practically insulted me for wanting to recover the gift card (which was used once for a $50 purchase.) I cannot fathom that this matter cannot be rectified considering the gift card has a number, Sad Customer.

My wife and I stopped in here to exchange some old makeup containers for new free makeup and the employee was extremely helpful in helping her match skin tone and wardobe to get new eyeshadow. Great location and neighborhood as well.

I made a purchase over the phone on 7.9.15. As today 7.23.15 still hadn't received the items so I contacted the Mac counter. Stephanie answered I told her I didn't received the package . And she said she didn't care that once the package leaves her store she is not responsible excuse me???? I told her I did not appreciate her response and I was going to contact MAC headquarters. I will never buy from this store again. and she's been reported!!!

Such a lovely pop up shop in downtown brooklyn absolutely enjoyable to go and see the variety of lipsticks that they have to offer.
