I recently bought a Bianchi Oltre Pro from R&A Cycles in Brooklyn, I worked with Sheila over several months, she was very professional, patient and knowledgeable, she walked me through the whole process step by step, in the end i received my new bike all dialed in, set up and ready to ride, thank you to the R &A Cycles team, you are a cut above everyone else!

I have been here half a dozen times and spent more than $1,000 over the last year. But Ill never go in again after the older lady behind the counter was extremely rude and belittling. Rather than try to help, she just proceeded to tell me how little I knew. This is place gives Park Slope a bad name.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience at R & A bikes. I went to see Felix for a bike fitting of my 58cm cervelo aspero that I had purchased online and not at their bike shop. After 2 minutes of measurements Felix informed me that I should have purchased the 61cm frame even though my overall height fell in the range for the smaller frame. Apparently as Felix said, I should be 6'3" with my limb lengths, but I have a small head. I was shocked. Not about having a small head, but that I spent thousands of dollars for nothing. R&A had the larger frame I needed in stock but it would have cost me over $5000 to switch everything over to it. Instead of pushing that option, Felix asked if he could work with me on fitting the original bike with the chance that it would still not fit and I'd be out a fitting charge. What happened in the end was fantastic. He dialed my bike in with the best fit I've ever had over a two hour period. Not only was the fitting process successful, it was fun as well. Felix and Luiz the mechanic are funny as hell. They had me laughing the whole time. Thanks so much guys!!! Great job

Im in the market for a new bike and my current desire is buying an aero race bike. I went in with my current knowledge of bikes (which is decent for doing home mechanic stuff but nowhere enough to be a professional) and was looking for specific bike brands that I wanted. Dennis is amazing at customer service and he answered all my questions with the utmost professionalism. He hovered around me while I was browsing just to make sure I was being taken care of and to answer any questions that might come up. Since I was in the market for an aero race bike (specifically Look 795 blade RS, BMC Time Machine, etc.) this is where Felix (I believe he might be the owner of the shop) comes in with his expertise. Without even asking, Dennis and Felix took my body measurements to see if my body type would work with the bikes I was looking at. Unfortunately, my body type did not allow for those bikes. They even allowed me to mount on top of a bike to let me feel the uncomfortableness of the bike. (Sad news, yes I know) but this is where I was really surprised at both Dennis and Felixs professionalism. Instead of allowing me to buy those bikes that I initially came in thinking to buy, they told me they would not sell me those bikes as the dimensions would not accompany my body type. Instead of trying to force a sale with me, they looked into other options for me to consider and told me to come back another day for a bike that would work with my body measurements. Every bike shop should be like this. Theyre serious about making sales, yes. But they will not compromise their integrity to their customers just for a sale. They truly want you to buy a bike that will make you happy and will actually work with your body type. Am I bummed that I cant/shouldnt buy the aero bikes I initially wanted to buy? Yes, absolutely. But Im also glad these guys were there to stop me from making a huge and expensive mistake if I went to a different bike shop that would have allowed me to buy it. I will be going back once I have viewed my options that they presented me with to buy a bike from them.
