The best bikeshop in NYC! Been there several times for quick repairs and even though I don't have an expensive bike they always take care of it. I've been thinking on changing my bike for a Specialized one just because of the quality of the bikes and service.

Bike returned to me without all of the work done and with rear brakes disengaged. I really wanted to like this place. Friendly staff, and have had good experiences in the past when just changing a flat or picking up a part. However, bringing my bike in to get some work done left me pretty uneasy. When my bike was returned to me, there were major safety issues and other signs of sloppy work: 1. Rear brake clincher left open. Major safety issue. I pulled out onto Kent for a test ride only to find that I didnt have any rear brakes connected. 2. The tech forgot to size my chain. (This was one of the work items). Dropped a chain immediately when I tried to shift on my test ride. Not as bad as the brakes, but somewhat a safety issue. 3. Seatpost was returned to me in a different position. 4. Residue from old bar tape job was still all over the handlebars. 1 and 2 should never have happened. 3 and 4 are minor detail items; however, put all together, is evidence of rushed or careless service practices. They were nice about it and fixed the issues right away; the shop gets a ton of business and the techs may be rushed to finish maintenance jobs, but my bike should never have been handed back to me in the state that it was. Will look for another place in the neighborhood to have work done when I dont have the time to do it myself.
