Brooklyn Bikery

I picked up this beautiful Specialized Diverge Elite E5 gravel bike from Brooklyn Bikery in Sheepshead Bay a few days ago. A wonderful bike shop run by a couple of really nice people, Lena and Igor. I found it searching on Facebook Marketplace, and what a find. And what a pleasure both meeting and spending the afternoon with and doing business with them both. Its very hard to find quality bicycles and bike parts these days, with so many supply chain problems still being worked out, so I was really fortunate to find them, and it was well worth the drive out to Sheepshead Bay from Manhattan. They love bikes, and it shows. I would be perfectly comfortable letting them repair or upgrade any of my bikes (too many!), because they can handle anything. They have a huge assortment of used bikes, some new (like mine!) and all kinds of accessories, too. A lot of great deals, and lots of roadway and bike paths nearby to check out their bikes, too. I visited for repair but ended up trading in my old bike for a better. Just finished my first 50 miles on the new bike and I am very happy with the bike - I love the way it is shifting.

Our experience at the Brooklyn Bikery will most definitely be one of the top highlights of our NY getaway. Cycling is by far my favourite way to take in a new city. Igor provided us with everything we needed, was super friendly, and gave us recommendations for local restaurants as well! Our bikes were in perfect condition so we felt confident commuting around alongside the vehicle traffic knowing our bikes were mechanically sound, also there are plenty of bike laneshowever, NY drivers seem to be pretty dismissive about bike lanes overall.
