Himapan USA

What a wonderful experience! I was hoping to try this in Thailand, so I was delighted to learn that Himapan is available here, in NYC! After a long, stressful work day and not enough sleep, lotus painting was soothing and relaxing, as well as amazingly energizing! Tristan is knowledgable and thoughtful. He gave each of us personalized attention, and treated us like honored guests. He lived in Thailand, and has a deep personal understanding of the lotus flower's significance, which he imparted to us. Kindness and compassion shine through him. I left feeling renewed and with two beautiful works of art that shall hang on my wall. I will come back for more! I loved every minute!

Great experience; I recommend and I'd go again! My 11 yr old daughter and I went to a class and were so happy and excited and inspired from beginning to end. The environment is clean and organized and all set up when you walk in. Tristan the teacher offers some background and gentle advice and encouragement to guide the session along, he is very kind and informative. We felt safe and relaxed and intrigued during our time in the studio. Painting the lotus leaves canvas is unlike painting a regular canvas, so whether you are a beginner or a pro or anywhere in between, you will have a new and interesting adventure in art (and culture!) :) It's also a bit less challenging in a way than painting say, a street cafe scene or something with more definition, so the focus is really on the expression of color and connecting to the natural form and texture of the leaves. I found this aspect to be very meditative and beautiful, simple, pure, raw, enjoyable. We are thankful we found this special little gem of a great zen painting time! Thanks Himapan!

This was a great time, Tristan was a wonderful guide, he was organized, patient and committed to showing the whole group a great time. A lot of times at these art classes you end up with something that looking like a 2nd grader made it, which is fine but with this you will end up with a piece of work you can proudly hang in your living room and no one will know a pro didn't paint it.

This was so easy and relaxing! Painting is such a great form of therapy after a busy NYC workday. I am no artist, but the theater was fantastic and really taught me some new skills. Plus I have an awesome piece for my apartment! What an inspiring activity, and there's no better place to do it!

Friends offered this to me as a birthday gift and it was such a wonderful experience! It's beautiful, not too technical and deeply relaxing. I'm thinking of going back with my daughter.
