The Kestrel Rentals

Everyone here is so friendly! I thought living in a big building would be impersonal, but its been quite the opposite! I am a little mystified that you have to pay for amenities, it should be built in to rent, in my opinion. But I do appreciate having them!

We moved in last Friday and everything has been seamless so far. The staff have been so friendly and helpful, the amenities look great, and the storage unit downstairs has been a godsend! The apartment is so spacious compared to other rentals we've had in NYC. We are loving our new place.

Absolutely love living at The Kestrel. Our apartment is huge and modern. The floor to ceiling windows make it feel open and bright. Plus the amenities are incredible. Amazing place to raise a family.

RENTERS BEWARE. While this building is in an ok location that is about all it has to offer. The Management company that runs the inner works of the building will ignore EVER request you bring to their attention. Sadly this includes safety issues. I am currently still a resident and it took me 7 months to get my heater/ AC unit fixed in my Master bedroom. Every request was met with the maintenance guy coming to look at the unit and readjusting cardboard they have shoved in there to make it last just a smidge longer. Not to mention the FIRE HAZARD this created for myself and my family. I wasn't able to use the unit throughout the winter and was forced to just dress warmly and add blankets. I've also had a consistent ant problem in my kitchen that has been ignored by mgmt. The issue which was caused by a leak in the unit prior to my move in last September. Not to mention this building is very pricey and noisy. These are part of the long list of reasons I would warn anybody looking to become a resident of this building. AND BEWARE if you decide to raise any concern to mgmt they will dismiss you and then throw the contract at you for which every other unit is in violation. BUT you are the unit that complained. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GIVE YOUR MONEY TO ANY OTHER BUILDING! I can absolutely promise you that youll be happier in the long run.
