Featherbed Lane Headstart Program

My Recollections of this place Head Start program in 2010 my son was 3 years old. I had started working and, I put him in this Head Start program. What I did not like about this program within the month they had four different teachers. I don't know if they were not staying because they were not getting paid good money or they just did not like the environment. And he was constantly being bullied by a child in the classroom. I told them that,I did not want that kid sitting next to my son. My son was miserable and he did not learn anything from that classroom. I decided to take him out of the program and put him in a regular school.

This school is disorganized. My son was sent home because of eczema on his face while a classmate was allowed to stay with the flu. I was scheduled a home visit, i asked to verify the time no one at the school knew what i was talking about. My son has mental disabilities it seems like he is being alienated by adults. Too many times have ive been told upon entering the class he can not stay. There has not been a valid reason.

This school is professional, organized and clean. I would recommend it to any parent. The teachers are caring and understanding. Above all my child was happy and comfortable being left alone which is what matters to me.
