DON'T DEAL WITH THEM As I was a long-time customer of Rescue, I naturally asked them for a quote to replace my gas-fired steam boiler when the old one went. I told them I wanted an efficient boiler and one that would qualify for Con Ed’s $500 rebate. They said “no problem” and filled in their part of the application to Con Ed when the installation was complete. I completed my part and mailed it in. A few weeks later, I received a rejection from Con Ed saying that the boiler they installed did not qualify for the rebate – it wasn’t sufficiently efficient. I wrote them, enclosing Con Ed’s rejection and asked what they were going to do about it. I heard nothing. I wrote them again and I still have heard nothing from them. The older fellow I used to deal with doesn’t seem to be around anymore. I am finished with them. Over the years, I have referred no fewer than 6 customers to them. I am advising those folks not to trust Rescue anymore.
