Stay away from Spectrum mobile. The Bring Your Own Device and special offers has taken many hours from my life dealing with their activation, customer service and in store employees. They are not a mobile company and have no idea what they are doing. My experience: Went to the store to sign up. My Verizon phone activated fine, but my wife's unlocked phone could not be activated. Purchased a used Verizon phone and went back in to activate it. The clerk broke our sim card holder and gave us a small credit on our cable bill to make up for it. After buying another sim card holder at a repair shop (Spectrum doesn't carry parts or phones at the store,) I called to activate the phone with no luck. After another visit to the store and three more calls to Spectrum, they deactivated my working phone and still couldn't activate my wife's phone. I now can't port my number back to Verizon until I receive a new sim card and we have no service on her line. I spent about 12 hours dealing with this mess and now I have no phone service on either line. Spectrum offered nothing and I'm probably going to cancel my cable/internet after this debacle. Stick with the big services. The savings they offer isn't worth the headache. I went back to Verizon, but I can't port my number over since it is now deactivated.The billing specialist, Dominic and the store employees were very friendly and about as frustrated as I have been. Spectrum is not ready to offer a mobile service. I went back to Verizon, but I can't port my number over until I receive a sim card and reactivate my Spectrum line. Don't even consider switching to Spectrum. Stick with the big companies.
