This place stinks! I have no idea how anyone can give this place four or five stars. It must be that these people don't get out much or they are simply midwesterners who don't know jack about food or service. One moron says" clean modern" I'd hate to see your drawers. For starters, we waited to be seated ten minutes, not that it was packed, there was no hostess, and I guess the lone waitress could not handle the place on her own. Before she sat is down she cleaned the table with a rag and knocked the remaining food bits on the chairs, we had to ask her to wipe the chair down. After she sat us down, we waited ten minutes for the menus. It's amazing how none of the other reviewers mention how filthy the menus were, it looks like the owner has the same original menus since day one. The menus are filthy, they are stained, soiled and covered in black gook, it looks like they were taken out of a wet garbage can. However, when you are serving people with no discernment it is easy, they are just happy to be out eating somewhere. As for their Sushi; it was decent, better than a lot of places in Astoria simply because it is traditional real Japanese Sushi, not Chinese Sushi like Watawa, or J.J's.. Not going back..
