I have been eating here for more than 20 years, traveling from The Bronx by bus or car to get here. The food and drinks have always been above par (Okay, sensational actually!). I originally started going here because of their sake selections, but their voluminous menu of appetizers, specials and main dishes is incomparable and if you're daring enough, they have their extra-special Japanese menu! I'm sorry for anyone who thinks they are too expensive, but this is NOT gas station sushi, as one super-obnoxious reviewer (who shall, deservedly so, remain nameless) on another site stated so snidely, but that is the price you pay for freshly, cleanly prepared excellence!

The owner who often waits on tables has always treated me and my husband with rude and disrespectful behavior. We always thought, what did we do to be treated this way? yet we kept going back because its one of very few authentic Japanese restaurants in the area. Well, today, he yelled at my husband for standing in the hallway (whaaat?!) when he was just waiting for someone to pass. I later went up to the guy to complain about what he did and he eventually RELUCTANTLY apologized. I told my friends what happened and to my surprise, they told me that quite a few people stopped going there because of this mans arrogant attitude. Glad to know its not just us. We will be bringing our business elsewhere and will be telling our friends to do so as well. Maybe you should, too.
