    It's easy for a business to "look good" when an order runs smoothly...... However, it's how a business handles an order which has an issue that determines their level of professionalism and interest to make the customer happy. Bloomfields in Amsterdam demonstrated unprofessionalism and zero interest to accommodate a paying customer. Today is Wednesday. On Monday, I ordered through a 3rd company (From You Flowers) a MORNING delivery scheduled for yesterday (Tuesday). At 3 pm Tuesday, I received a call from "Bill" of Bloomfields telling me that there is nobody at the delivery residence. I explained that is why I paid extra for a morning delivery because my daughter - who the bouquet was for - works in the afternoons. And so Bill told me he'd attempt the delivery again today (Wednesday) but no guarantee it would be in the morning. I told him that I paid extra for morning delivery and explained why. Persistent that he wouldn't guarantee a morning delivery, I asked him to simply go back to the residence "now" (Tuesday) and just leave the flowers on the porch. He said no. And so I called From You Flowers who sourced this order through Bloomfields and asked for my morning, next-day delivery fee refunded, which they did. The CSR at FYF then called Bill of Bloomfields, indicating that I need a morning delivery for Wednesday (today). This morning, I called Bloomfields and spoke again with Bill. I asked once again for a confirmation of a morning delivery. Bill said, "We're not delivering that order". He then told me that he got into an argument yesterday with FYF over the morning delivery fee which Bloomfields did not receive from FYF. Mind you, the flowers were already arranged into a bouquet at this point. Bill told me that he canceled the order with FYF. I was livid. I told Bill that by doing this, he showed ZERO interest in customer satisfaction. I called back FYF after hanging up with Bloomfields. FYF accommodated me not only by refunding me 100% but they ordered a complimentary bouquet from another Amsterdam florist (identical to my 1st order) for delivery tomorrow (Thursday), free of charge. FYF did the right thing to remedy the situation, which originated with Bloomfield's pushback and argument over a few extra dollars which FYF didn't pay for expedited delivery. Bill of Bloomfields didn't care about the inconvenience that his actions against FYF took on me. He literally showed no interest over helping to make the situation right, from his end. This unprofessionalism warrants my negative review. An order placed on Monday is now being delivered on Thursday because of Bloomfield's attitude and position against a 3rd party company. The action to cancel the order over a few dollars was priority to Bill and Bloomfields, in lieu of helping to satisfy a customer who was inconvenienced. I hope that FYF blacklists this florist.
