I grew up going to Dr. Thayer. Which I think says a lot about his gentleness because I have absolutely no fear of the dentist. I unfortunately haven’t seen him in years because I moved out of state. I have tried 3 new dentists since and I’ve given up on finding one as good as him. Seriously, you don’t know what you got ‘til it’s gone.

He seems like a very nice guy and it's true he is very good at giving the shots and drills like a pro. Unfortunately, the reason he is so "good" is because he drills so often even when it's not necessary. I had one cavity in 23 years until I went to this guy. Then I seemed to have a cavity at every visit. I even changed to a sonicare toothbrush and began flossing obsessively after every meal. I finally realized as I never felt any issues and he continued to find cavities that it was time to switch. Its been 10 years and have not had a cavity since. I only hope others don't go through the same experience. You only get one set of adult teeth and must protect them from more than just cavities.

Dr.Thayer is wonderful he is the only dentist I have ever seen in my 29 years. They have always been so helpful. They got me in the day before Thanksgiving one year for a root canal.

At first glance, Dr. Thayer might seem to be a grizzly bear, gruff and growly. When you get to know him however, you realize the man is a teddy bear; under that tough exterior is a man who truly cares for his patients, and he knows his art. You never have to beg for pain relief or wonder if your procedure is being done right. He's also funny as all heck.
