    Not accepting new applications. But I'm not new. I just had not been there in 3 years so I'm considered "new". It was recommended that I go to Espanola for my primary care DR. This is a trip, to say the least!

    I'm giving two stars instead of one because my doctor is excellent. But they don't answer their phone. You can call back over and over and it just rings. There's no voicemail. I see I'm not the only one complaining about this. It's TERRIBLE.

    While I like my PA, I am not happy with the service of the place. For example, I was given a referral for a colonoscopy, when I arrive for my appointment, they said I dont know why you were referred here, we are not in your network. Another example is placing a phone call to talk to anyone is a challenge. I end up having to drive an hour to talk to anybody. One time I showed up ten. Mins early for my appointment, they told me to wait in my car and they would call me to come in which is fine. They forgot me. I sat 45 mins waiting.. I find the call staff not exactly competent. I understand they probably get paid a low wage, therefore they may not care much about quality service. I pay almost seven hundred dollars a month for the best healthcare insurance I can buy. Platinum level Blue Cross Blue Shield. Sometimes I ask myself, Why am I paying for this? This being said. I appreciate my PA. I wish the service could be much better.

    I had orders for a preventative service that was not properly billed. As a result, I was charged hundreds of dollars, which stupidly, I paid. I called El Centro and the Insurance company. Both were blaming each other for the mistake, and both made MANY mistakes. I was told by El Centro staff that the code used was for a preventative procedure, but it was not. I called to have them resubmit it. They told me they did, but there is no documentation to support that they did resubmit. Be careful with billing. Do your research. Do not pay for preventative services that are covered by your insurance. As note, I have also called MANY times to have the phone ring for 5 or 10 minutes straight. In addition, during the winter, I went to two appointments, but no one was there due to a delay in opening. El Centro does not contact patients related to closures, so be aware of that situation, too.
