Nile Cafe on the Trail

I had lunch there yesterday: lamb Gyro plate on home made pita bread, baklava and an espresso. Yummy! The decor is, shall we say, authentic and unpretentious--as are the staff.

This place is gone, closed, cerrado. Don't look for it. We walked 2 miles out of our way :(

Nile Cafe is one of the most amazing Restaurant in Santa Fe , the food is wonderful . Far better than Cleopetra Cafe ! The Staff here is very friendly and fast . Decoration ist great makes you feel as if you are in Egypt !! Prices are awesome and the plates are huge. My favorite is the Egyptian Mousaka with a plate of Tabouli . Oh so goooooooooood ! Everybody should try there mouthwatering Egyptian Pancakes , Baklava and Mamoul . Gyro Plate is great too or the Roasted Leg of Lamb . I could eat at this Restaurant everyday !!!!!!!!! This place is a must while in Santa Fe !!!!!!! To the Staff keep up the great work and thank you for a wonderful time !!!!!!!!!

I have had several of the plates at the Nile Cafe. My favorite is the Gyro plate. I 've also had the Nile Cafe Breakfast Burrito. The food is outstanding, the decor is very cool and their service is top-drawer. I highly recommend both their restaurant and their catering business. I've eaten the food from their Catering truck at several events including the Santa Fe Railyard courtyard, and the Santa Fe Railyard Park and it was excellent. You need to go by and see Gigi and her great staff. The food is good and they have a cool restaurant.
