Visited this spot a couple of times on my travels through Santa Fe. Had a breakfast burrito that was great and their pastries were just as good as back in NYC. That's rare. I wouldn't consider this place a "Restaurant," more of a chill coffee-shop/cafe joint. Definitely a good local spot to grab a quick bite, great coffee and a chat.

Food is an absolute disgrace to the world of culinary arts. The owner and all the employees lie about their products being made fresh in their kitchen. Their doughnuts, bagels and a lot of other items are purchased at the Smith's grocery store a few blocks up the street on Pacheco St. The coffee is bought at Sam's club. Everything is overpriced considering the type of food, and where the food is bought. I have seen the owner sneeze on a bagel sandwich, and serve it right after without any consideration for the people who are ingesting this food. That is just beyond disgusting. If you like eating other people's mucous and bacteria by all means go visit the Green Owl Cafe. I will make it a point to inform people about the horrible things I know and seen at this poor managed restaurant. Beware, this food is only made with money in mind. There is no love for the food, or the patrons for that matter. We have some awesome restaurants in this town who will provide you with high quality food, and also treat the food, and their patrons with respect. Do not be fooled by the fake kindness of the owner, he hides all the animosity and takes it out on your food and your money. Eat better food, and dont let yourself be robbed by this horrible establishment.
