This place was weird. I stopped to buy ice. When I walked in, the first thing I saw was the "Make New Mexico Great Again" sign. The three people in the store looked at me like I was from Mars. I don't know if that was because I was wearing a mask or just because I was a stranger. None of those three were wearing a mask. I think New Mexico is still under a mask mandate. I couldn't wait to pay the man at the cash register for my overpriced ice ($3 for a 10 pound sack) and get out of there.

The atmosphere is fantastic, the people are very friendly. A great historic experience with the tasty food to match the look. This place has one of those "good Ol' American dreams stories" to it!! You can find the story about this restaurant in the back of the menu about owners and its acquisition since the 1920's then again in the 1950's, A contract written on a brown paper bag! Wow! I ordered the double cheese 🧀 burger 🔠and fries!!! Next time I'm trying the steak!!
