Urbielewicz Murphree CPAs

Disappointing. They were highly recommended, but after uploading alllllll the requested documents for my parents on MARCH 6 (!!), I heard nothing further, and I am on my way right now to trusty ol' H &R Block to get my parents' returns filed! Ruth Ann Piatt seemed nice enough, but I haven't heard from her in almost 2 months. Not what I would expect from a tax professional. Hopefully my parents' data won't be compromised, just another thing to worry about! Do not recommend! Updated review: Ms Piatt called and told me she had emailed me in March but that I had not responded. I never received this email and had emailed her twice in April and she did not respond, so clearly there is some issue with electronic communications. Still it is nice that they reached out, so bumping them up a star. I guess if you don't need to use email they might be fine?

Incredible people, very professional, and helpful on answering the hard questions... They have been doing my CPA work for years... I would recommend them.

With Verian, my wife and I always felt like we were following up with them for business-related information pertaining to giving them our business. With Ms. Murphree there was no proactive follow-up towards us. It felt as if we were repeatedly reminding her that we were still their new clients and needed their expertise. In addition, their tax preparer failed to call me after confirming my phone number for the initial business consult. She then failed to get back with me with important follow-up weeks after the consult. Neither Ms. Murphree nor her tax preparer ever took responsibility for the problems we were having during the very start of our business relationship—problems that could have easily been avoided by communication of their work deadlines (that I would have scheduled around) and appropriate resource staffing (since her tax preparer was clearly overwhelmed with workload). In short, it felt as if Ms. Murphree set us up for failure. I find this especially troublesome when one weighs in the importance of fiduciary services and tax preparation. Hopefully, you will not receive the same experience my wife and I did.
