In a hardware world of diminishing supply, Isaac's had what I needed when 2-3 other stores, spread across 100 highway miles, did not. I needed a large metal pot for heating Mason jars during the canning process. Most hardware stores and a few grocery stores said, "Mason what?". Hahaha..........I thought all rural stores would at least know what "canning" is and what it required. I walked right into Isaacs, asked the front desk clerk if she knew whether they had any large metal pots used in canning, and she guided me directly to the store's section involved with housewares, cooking, and canning. Bingo, huge black metal canning pot that also works for cooking seafood like lobster or crabs. The store itself is like a museum. I will have to return another day just to stroll down the cram-packed aisles and voluminous shelves of every hardware object known to man.
