I had my transmission rebuilt at Neighborhood Transmission 11 months ago and it recently developed a humming noise. I took it back to albert and he fixed it without hesitation, free under warranty. It was a defective bearing. Now it`s back to awesome again ! I highly recommend Neighborhood Transmission A+++++

Al is a stand up guy he changed out my transmission solenoids which were setting off my check engine light for a fraction of the cost of other transmission specialist. I was able to pass emissions because of it. Thanks a lot Al I hope this review will bring you more business.

Took my astro van in after failure. Liked Albert from the start. Nice guy. Unfortunately my experience has been frustrating. The price i could have paid anywhere. No savings. It was the torque converter and not the transmission that failed. I would have liked to have been told that before the transmission was rebuilt to make my own call on what i wanted to do next. Van was shut off immediately after failure. I feel like i would have a properly working transmission had we just done the converter and a flush. Would have saved me some money and if it didnt work i would just leave it for the rebuild. Picked up the van after the rebuild and it overheated. Radiator fan stuck into the shroud because trans. mounts were changed and angles were not checked. Damaged fan clutch. I called to let him know what had happened with no call back or offer to replace the fan clutch. I had to remove the shroud and cut it. Tail of transmission is too high causing vibration in overdrive due to high angle on u joint. Transmission has only two gears. Low and drive with overdrive. Says, "it's the neutral safety switch." then says" it's a switch in the trans". Brought the van in to replace and still did not work. Then say's "it's the computer" and it's a "coincindence" and he can order one for me for $100.00. NO! now i'm getting frustrated. It's not the computer! It worked before unless he shorted something. I go to pick up the van and now it's not the computer but a wiring harness. I paid $1700.00 plus tax for a trans rebuild with screwed up gears. A screwed up fan clutch, a cutout in my radiator shroud, and a vibration to boot. All that was on him. At least he was nice enough to say i didnt have to pay for the neutral safety switch or the other switch he installed. No, would not pay anyway. The transmission is not working correctly Albert and that's on you. Should have checked all the gears on the test drive and always check angles when old mounts are replaced with new ones or non oem ones. I already paid. Still like the guy and wish him well but i can't recommend his shop. I'll just stick to doing things myself.
