I have been trying to get a quote from this company for the last month. The first two times I was just left waiting. They rescheduled for a third time and left me hanging. This is so unprofessional and will no longer even want to consider them if even before starting the job they ghost me.

I'm going to keep this fact based.
On January 9, 2021 I paid the first portion of an invoice for a new gate. The payment agreement was set at 1/2 down, the other 1/2 upon completion. I was told to expect 4-5 weeks to install. 5 weeks from January 9th would be February 13. It is now May 11th and I still do not have a completed gate - 17 weeks later.
When I tried to follow up with Jamie (owner and person who provided the quote) in March, his number was disconnected and I was blocked on Facebook. I called the corporate number and I was told Jamie was no longer with the company for lying to customers.  However, both their company website and their Instagram shows differently.
They have requested me to pay the remainder of the invoice while I still do not have a functional gate. It still is unable to stand on its own. The gate does not stay closed together or in place, and I still have a hole in my wall.
They have told me they'll be here at certain times, an hour later they aren't here, I reach out and they make an excuse. They say they're on the way, and it still takes another hour for them to show up. Or they say they just forgot to schedule it. As I write this, they were supposed to be here 2 hours ago.
As previously mentioned, the payment agreement was a 50/50 split (upfront and upon completion). When I inquire about the price difference, I'm told it's taxes. However, the state sales tax rate hasn't changed since the first invoice was created or paid. While it's not a large difference, it's just another issue to add on top.
I selected this company because their images show beautiful work. But I would never use this company again, nor would I recommend them to anyone. I don't want others to waste their time or money and make the same mistake I did.
