The buffet was cold, dry and tasteless. If I have had worse Indian cuisine in this lifetime I blessedly cannot recall it.

I'm a regular at Maurya, and I almost always order korma kashkash with lamb. This particular dish is no longer on the menu, but the chef keeps making it for me, and the waitstaff know me well enough to understand that when I walk in the door, that's pretty much what I am going to get. On the rare occasion that I've ordered something else, it's always been prepared to perfection (but nothing's yet supplanted that lamb korma hankering). The buffet is straightforward, good, and an understandably less-expensive choice than ordering from the menu on the nights that it is offered. Maurya has undergone various changes of name and decor in its recent history; only months ago it was "Rasoi," and by the time someone reads this, it may have yet another name! The menu's changed quite a bit as well. The reasons for these changes elude me, but rest assured they don't signal any downturn in food quality. On a final note: parking is limited and patrons must be darn sure they are parked ONLY in the Rasoi / Maurya spaces and NOT in the pay spaces (or McDonald's). Predatory goon squads patrol those lots, ready to slap boots on cars at a moment's notice. The iffy parking situation is really the only detractor to this restaurant's location and no fault of its management at all.
