Would not even give a star! My son is 25 , Dr Khoo prescribed medication that brought his heart rate down to 35 heart beats per minute ! Knowing she should not have prescribed it to him as is for heart failure, which he had no signs of. The ER doctor said that could have killed him. Do not Trust this Doctor ! She is also been treating my husband for Afib.
Dr. Khoo answer to everything is medication. Dr. Khoo does not listen to side effects these medications are causing. Stay Away!

I have been extremely happy with the care I have received at Khoo and associates- especially during these covid times. Dr Khoo is by far the best cardiologist in New Mexico !!

My experiences with Dr. Khoo were initially positive, and I felt I had found someone capable and competent to handle specialized care for my condition.
Over the course of a year, things turned upside-down as I find myself waiting for an hour or more after a scheduled appointment in order to see the only doctor on staff.
Dr. Khoo has over-booked herself, and has inundated her practice with stressed employees who are unable to do anything but basic paperwork and intake care due to policy. Rather than hiring more practitioners who, for example, have the authority to fill out paperwork required by certain insurance companies, she appears to surround herself with mere handlers of red tape. Moreover, a recent and quite arbitrary change in her practice's policy has classified my primary care provider (a CNP), who is licensed to provide such care, is not sufficient due to issues with credentials.
Dr. Khoo now considers medication side effects as "psychological", and will delegate responsibility to her patients' primary care providers instead of considering otherwise obvious implications of, say, diuretics with side effects such as "whole body pain" and "mood changes" (read: problems with memory and difficulty sleeping).
She implements a triage policy that reflects this, which also appears to consider new patients differently than existing patients.
I have continued to pursue care here due to connections with University of Utah, in the interest of being placed on a trial for a new piece of technology that would alleviate my condition greatly. Not only was the deadline missed, repeated consultations with her contacts have resulted only in my receiving yet another medication to which I have an adverse response.
This practice has failed several times to fax trivial paperwork (now just two pages per six months!) required by my insurance provider in a timely manner, resulting in my negotiating with my case worker for an unusual, and possibly one-time, extension.
I was directly insulted twice by a staff member at the front desk after she displayed a blatant disregard for my circumstances.
Avoid this practice until Dr. Michelle Khoo hires additional practitioners who can coordinate care with her excessively numerous patients.
