Mr. Len Miller, was someone, I considered a friend. I met Len when I had a case. Len offered & gave my wife & I free advice a few times. He represented himself as our lawyer. He told us not to worry about it, that he wanted to help. We were grateful he took us under his wing. Sadly today it seems our friendship came to an end. I found out today how unethical Mr. Miller really is. Slippery as an eel, very sneaky. An out right liar. As crooked as a dog's hind leg! Shady. It started when he offered me a carpet job at his house, he knew I was out of work & needed money. At first, I felt awkward taking it because he did give us free advice, helped us with our case & took us under his wing, he liked us & genuinely wanted to help us. Len said, don't be silly to take the job because we needed the money, I accepted. I gave Len a basic rate to install & ripout the old CARPET ONLY, not including extras which was separate. The fee given to him again was 4 a basic installation & ripup, did not include any of extras, that was an additional cost which Len was fully aware (texts/emails/phone calls/in person & common sense).Texts prove this. The extra charges were for the flight of stairs, floor prep, seaming & the furniture which were big heavy pieces that I moved myself as well as bags, boxes, chairs, baskets, knick-knacks etc. Basic means just that basic, these were extras & had nothing to do with the basic installation. Len who is a lawyer who should be a smart man, should know what the word basic means. Either way, it was explained. (he asked follow up question too). I worked my butt off doing his job, staying late into the evening when needed. I took my time to make sure the job was coming out perfect. I installed 139 yards of carpet, (basic flat rate installation) ripped up all the old carpet & padding, I started the stairs, I did all the extras, the floor prep,, seams, and moved all the furniture & goods. Today I went to finish the job, I gave my bill minus the deductions & asked to have the check today... It was met with a fight. Len thinks I owe him a favor, a break(he did get a break, I charged him less than the store would pay me or what I would normally get from other side jobs). He wasn't happy with that, he thought I should return the favor & have done it for free. This is why I didn't want to take the job in the first place. It felt awkward. He told me to take the job that I needed the money, so I took the job. I did the job. I did spectacular work. I cut him a break. It's time to pay me but he refuses now. He feels, I owe him. Besides telling me he'll give the balance of the basic installation price he owes me to another person to finish, he lied, he's unethical. No attorney should be allowed to get away with what he said next, this is why come Monday, I will call the ethics committee & bar association. This is what he said, verbatim : per Len Miller : " Okay, I see that you are someone that is untrustworthy. Apply, you are desperate. I did not cause that. By the way, I do not work for nothing. Just to let you know, you have violated the consumer fraud act. You want to go to court. Just know that you will be subject to treble damages plus attorneys fees. I will also send you an invoice for the time I spent trying to help you st your request. My regular fees are $375.00 per hour. I will send you my invoice. By the way, I am not and have never been sneaky. You have now created another mess for you. Apparently, you enjoy doing this to yourself, I am sorry for you. I will retain the services of someone I can trust when they give me their word to finish your unfinished job. So, let's leave it at that. Once I have the estimate for completion, I will be in touch with you. Please do not contact Susie or me . After all these months that past, after saying he was doing this all for free (he knew there was no money this was told to him at our first meeting ). His exact words were, let me see what I can do to help you, so he did & 4 free. Stay away, he's a back stabber. Unethical. In the end he wanted the job done 4 free.

My mother who is elderly and I went to visit this man because my brother was murdered for his money and his estate was getting robbed and he laughed at us. He told us that he didn't believe it. He was cruel uncaring and unhelpful and had no attention span or patience. He told me to hurry up and couldn't care less after I've driven an hour to get to his office for his appointment. Avoid this old lawyer, he seems like he's already rich and will not care about you or your case. I would like to address the response: I'm certain that this is the correct lawyer. I have no doubt or uncertainty about this cruel awful old man. He is callous, I warn others to stay away from him. I will never forget him laughing at me and my mother who is in a state of greivence. That is something one never ever forgets.
