Dr. Mangel LISTENS TO HIS PATIENTS!!!!! I had a simple cyst on my 3rd toe, right foot pressing on the nerve causing great pain. Coincidentally I have hammer toes. My hammer toes have served me well for 59 years, I walk 5 miles on them and line dance just fine until the cyst developed causing great pain at the joint of one of my hammer toes. I went to 3 Podiatrists before finding Dr. Mangel. All of the 3 Foot surgeons, Dr. Daniel at Rothman, Dr. Downey at Penn Med and Dr. Howard Abramsohn all told me I need surgery to fuse my joint on the third toe, requiring a pin in my toe and up to 12 weeks off my foot. They insisted they had to fix the hammer toe & coincidentally would remove the cyst. Then I found Dr. Mangel who listened, that the toe was fine, the cyst is pressing on the nerve. I had no pain till the cyst developed. Dr. Mangel removed the cyst in his office and sent it off for biopsy which came back it was a benign cyst. Also THE PAIN IS GONE and I am only off my feet for 2 weeks not 12 weeks. Dr. Mangel has the best bed side manner and most importantly, he listened to what I asked and didn't keep directing me to having a big surgery with pins and fusion. I get it, your a surgeon and you want to do big surgeries but I'm the patient in pain and that wasn't my scenario. Dr. Mangel is the best!!! His office ladies are very kind & professional. I can't say enough about this great physician and his staff.

Dr. Mangel ruined my life I had surgery on October 18 I’m still wearing my boot my foot it’s worse now than it was before I’m on my third doctor now I have to wear moffa boot for 3 to 6 months I didn’t go back to work till January 8 and I had a cut back my hours because my foot hurts so bad and I have to walk around in this stupid boot dr. should make sure you need surgery before they cut you because my foot Will never be the same after Achilles tendon surgery
