Pronto Med Care

Dr Van Wyck was dismissive and arrogant. I told him Id been struggling with sleep issues (unable to fall asleep for 4-5 hours at night for years) and he suggested to drink tea. Ive tried all the home remedies, melatonin, and I dont use my phone at night etc and even after explaining all this to him he still said just dont drink alcohol and take a Tylenol Pm I already dont drink and Tylenols not going to do nearly enough. he did not take my concerns seriously at all or care to listen to me

Dr Van Wyck is Gone .. Dr Mattese not very nice and Dr Joyce tore my wellbeing up by playing God with meds that work for me and help my quality of life

I've been going here for about ten years. Dr. VanWyk was the best he's kind, caring and always took the time to listen. I went there last Tuesday and had to see the new doctor I believe his name is Dr. Joyce He was horrible very very rude and condescending with an attitude that was completely unacceptable. "I have been a longtime patient of Dr Matteace and he is wonderful. I needed a prescription refill and was unable to get an appointment so I scheduled with his new associate Dr Carpenter. I have never been treated so rudely by any Doctor like the manner in which she treated me. When asking her questions she was very short with me and impatient. I asked her about recent test results that were ordered by a different doctor and her response was I dont have time discuss this with you I have another patient waiting. This was a well visit so discuss it with the doctor that did the test and then she walked out of the examination room. Is this the new wave of young doctors? I left that appointment so upset . If you are a patient of Dr Matteace wait to get an appointment with him. Dr Carpenter should not be practicing medicine as she shows no regard for patient concerns. "

I've been going to Pronto Med-Care for several years now and was a patient of Dr. VanWyck a true professional in every sense of the word someone who always treated me in the most thoughtful and caring manner, and with nothing but the utmost respect. His replacement Dr. Joyce is unfortunately the exact opposite, and the least professional physician I have ever encountered in my life. He is utterly rude, condescending and dismissive. After being on a particular medication for several years now, one which be the way has worked exceptionally well for me, Dr. Joyce in his infinite godlike wisdom (during my most recent visit) decided with no explanation whatsoever, that I should perhaps stop taking it and see a psychiatrist... Really!?!?! I think Dr Joyce is the one who should be seeing a psychiatrist or perhaps the individual who hired him in the first place! To say that Pronto Med Care has seen better days and is sinking fast would be the understatement of the millennium. So just like the Titanic after hitting the iceberg a word to the wise Abandon ship!!!
