It was fine. Good service, decent atmosphere, a little loud, but I was with my somewhat deaf 90 year old mother. Still, it was accessible, and airy.

A family favorite since the year it opened, the yellow fin is a defining part of family tradition. The food is top notch, one of the best meals you will have on the island hands down. Bring a good bottle and know you'll be eating well from start to finish, the desserts are superb.

We had Yellowfin booked this past weekend for our anniversary; we had outdoor dining chosen as our preferred seating. We received a call at 2:45 pm which was an automated call for reservation confirmation (not a live person). We arrived for our reservation at 6:15pm and the outdoor dining was a small tent in the parking lot with no sides, and since it was raining, it was very wet under the tent. So we checked in with the hostess and mentioned the dining area is all wet, so would prefer to be inside so we didn't get wet while we ate. She told us that it wasn't possible, with the outdoor seating it was 'dine at your own risk' and they couldn't accommodate us inside. She said that this should have been made explicitly clear when we booked the reservation - it was NOT. I understand that they can't leave room for all outdoor diners to come inside if needed, but I do think that instead of an automated call for confirmation, there should have been an actual person calling the very few tables with outdoor reservations to ensure they were aware that moving inside was not an option, before we showed up and then had to leave without being able to be accommodated. Only 3 tables can fit under the outdoor tent, so I really don't see how the restaurant doesn't think to ensure their guests are aware that the option is to either get rained on while you eat, or find somewhere else to eat. It was NOT made 'explicit' as the hostess suggested it should have been upon booking. We heard Yellowfin was good and wanted to try, now with this experience we will not.
