Jacobs Lisa PhD

The experience I had as a patient of Lisa Jacobs was awful. I was 22, had suddenly lost my closest friend in a tragic car accident, and was struggling immensely to come to terms with what that meant going forward. Instead of being supportive, non-judgmental, and sensitive to the matter and my severely affected psychological condition, Lisa was glib and even patronizing. She made me feel ashamed and self-conscious for struggling the way that I was, essentially doing even more harm. I later learned from a much better therapist that I was struggling with a form of "Complicated Grief." Lisa's practice is not a safe, accepting environment and I do not consider her to be a consummate professional in her field.
