This is a store I've always wanted to like, and there are few places like this left in NJ, but my experience there has never been quite as great as I imagined it might be. The place is always dark and dingy. Not a major turn off, but it definitely does not exude the high-end feel that its price tags suggest. Yes, everything is pricey, but that is to be expected at a brick and mortar location catering to audiophiles. They do have some decent deals and specials on new gear, but their used prices are way too high. The premium is only worth it if you don't want to wait for shipping from another source. The biggest issue is that they don't do returns. They only offer store credit. This pretty much eliminates them as a source of major purchases for me. If I am going to buy expensive equipment, I'll do it from a place with a real return policy or a home audition program. UPDATE: In response to the owner: Insinuating that I or another customer is looking for a lending library or wanting to return audio equipment to pay a bill is insulting. Customers should check out other stores in the area and read up on their return policies. Or, set a budget for speakers, amps, etc. and then compare what you will get here for your money vs. the broader competition (physical or online). The results will speak for themselves. The fact is, you never really know how speakers will perform until they are in your space. Some places do in-home auditions, some don't. That's fine, but customers should know about this policy and posting about it should not be a big deal. In any event, the owner's response to this post is very instructive about the kind of treatment and experience you are likely to get at this store if you have a concern or complaint.

Just a note about the kind of person that works here. I went in for a new speaker as mine wasn’t working. Instead of just selling me a speaker they tested it and it worked fine. I took his advice on what to do and sure enough it is now working. They could have just sold me what I didn’t need but didn’t they didn’t make a sale today but definitely earned my business was in the future.

A wide array of great audio equipment with great service - got a fair trade in value and upgraded to an awesome Focal + Parasound set-up. Mike and Jerry even gave me advice on how to set up my listening room. This is the kind of service you can’t get at Best Buy
