Cartridge World stores aren't anything new to me. I like the concept of refilling and reusing cartridges rather than trashing and/or going through the entire recycling process. Plus it saves me $$ so I like it even more.Story time! Today I was on a mission to try a new coffee shop near Somerset when a few wrong turns and a ticking clock meant I was going to get stuck going to Starbucks. :( As I pulled into the strip, I saw a sign for Cartridge World and remembered that I was almost out of ink at home. I figured for once in my adult life I could be proactive, so in I went. Apparently I was the first customer this store had ever had. Apparently their Grand Opening isn't for another two days. Apparently they weren't too familiar with the computer system just yet. Apparently they thought they'd leave the "open" sign up out front anyway. Most importantly, apparently this store's owners are some pretty awesome people. After a bit of a process tracking down the correct ink cartridge for my printer (I never remember which kind it uses -- 92, 96, they're all the same!), the owner was obviously struggling with the computer system. I had a lot of work I needed to be doing at the aforementioned Starbucks next door(ish), but he finally figured out the comp and told me the ink would be $26. Uhhh.. what? I was thinking it shoulda been closer to $15. He shakes his head and says that that number couldn't be right, then finds another number that makes it $18 after tax. I hand over the cash, and my ink & I head on to do my dirty work. I'm no sooner sipping my latte than the Cartridge World owner comes into Starbucks looking for me! He said he'd made a terrible mistake and the ink was really only supposed to be $11, but rather than inconvenience me by making me go back to the store he brought me a second ink cartridge that he was giving me to make up for it. Going so much out of his way to actually track me down to apologize and make sure that I wasn't overcharged when most people would have just sat back on their heels.... Cartridge World guy, you rock. :)
