Amici's Homemade Specialties

Fuggedabout it, this is real-deal, Southern Italian-in South Jersey goodness. Would that they had a franchise in Cincinnati where I'm transplanted these days...Amici's hits the sweet spot--that is the perfect balance of acid and fruit sweet in their baseline sauce. It's what my South Jersey tribe calls very affectionately "Red Lead" sauces and gravies. Their meatballs are probably the best take-home by the bazillions best I've had--and I VERY rarely put something store bought on my cuccina table. This is off-the-hook greatness on Shore Road in Somers Point!

Amici's was the best pizza in the area and the rest of the menu was also great. Home made, fresh and delicious! I was so sad when they sold the business, but so happy that they could finally have some time for themselves. They were there every day providing the best food and service. Selfishly, I hope they get bored and open another shop.
