Our family is so happy with our new deck and outdoor space and can’t thank Wayne, Favor Homes and his Crew enough for all their hard work. From the initial meeting, Wayne mentioned that the biggest difference between him and other companies was that you are directly working with him which is 100% true. He is involved in every aspect from designing, to helping with permit paperwork, to finding the best materials that suit the design and budget. Wayne is at the site everyday with his crew and is involved in every part of the build out process and does most of the installation himself. His attention to detail while building every inch of the deck is immaculate. Wayne approaches deck building with a precision of an artist as every deck he designs and builds are a work of art! We were looking for a “Wow” factor from our deck and he definitely built a deck that more than achieves that. We highly recommend Wayne Barlow and Favor Homes to anyone looking to enhance their outdoor lifestyle!!

I highly recommend using Favor Home Improvements for your deck construction. We had limitations in the size of our project although Wayne did an amazing job optimizing the design of the deck. From beginning to end he personally ensured the work was done up to standards every day of the the job. Wayne was reliable, committed and personable. He is passionate about his work and it shows in the details. We love our new deck and can't wait to enjot it.

I can not say enough about how great it was to work with Wayne. From Day 1 when he came out in a foot of snow to look at the old structure, through the design, and then into the build he was always responsive and committed to ensuring we had the final product that we wanted. Would recommend him to anyone looking for a new deck or an upgrade in the area.

Favour Home Improvements just rebuilt our deck and we couldn't be happier with working with Wayne and the results. We liked the idea of working with a specialist (the deck is a very prominent feature of our house - it's an extension of our dining room so we see it all year long). The project was challenging - we only have a mid-sized deck but the previous owners built a very complex design with two levels, three sets of stairs, and over 20 posts for the railings. We didn't want to change the layout at all and Wayne and crew were up the the challenge. He made the drawings, did all the legwork for the town permit/inspection, had great ideas (those taller posts are for stringing lights high enough not to interfere with umbrellas), and was as conscientious, hard working, and detail oriented as our enthusiastic early conversations implied. Wayne's crew were excellent carpenters and he personally was on site, doing the work and supervising, for the majority of the project. Wayne cares about quality and durability - he ended up significantly reinforcing the previous footings we reused, both to ensure we were code compliant and to avoid sagging in the future. There were a couple of situations (like the structural reinforcement) where we incurred some additional costs and he was upfront getting our approval. And he cares about customer satisfaction - he came after the project was done to more permanently attach some light covers that were loosened by snow removal (we had heavy snows just as the project was wrapping) and to clear up some leftover construction debris. Highly recommended! (ps: ignore the dirt in the photos, as mentioned we had heavy snows and have not had a chance to clean up the mud)
