Blue Water Seafood

Went to go have dinner, there was a sketchy sign on the front door that they were "temporarily closed" stay away, not sure what the deal is, but things like that are never good

Our server's name was Melissa, and she masterfully handled our party of eight. We started with oysters and a calamari special which the table shared. Both appetizers were delicious and were quickly finished off. For the main course, I ordered a special of diver scallops with sweet corn and mashed potatoes with crab which came with a small tomato and avacado side salad. I live in New England and eat excellent seafood often, but the diver scallops were perfectly cooked and definitely among the best scallops I have ever enjoyed. Two of the people in our group ordered 16 oz steaks, and I am certain that the steaks were much larger than 16 oz. The folks who ordered steak were impressed with the steaks, and both steaks were cooked perfectly to specification (medium and medium-rare, as I recall). For dessert, I shared New York style cheesecake with another person in our group, and was impressed by both the excellent taste & texture of the cheesecake as well as the extremely large portion. Another person in our group shared a bite of mango sorbet with me which was refreshing and very tasty. The restaurant is BYOB, but there is a full service wine and liquor store conveniently located on the corner of the street. Melissa opened our bottles of wine for us, and she also provided an ice bucket for our white wines. In summary, I could not have had a better restaurant experience. I will certainly return to Blue Water Seafood the next time I am in Red Bank, and would highly recommend that anyone in the area stop by!
