Budget Truck Rental

My wife had scheduled a rental a month in advance for my son. His car was already shipped to the new state so he had to Uber to pick up the moving van only to be told they didn't have a van available. They did not call to let him know, they waited for him to show up. He had to Uber back home. This was our 1st time using Budget and it is most definitely our last.

I made reservation here 3 weeks ago and they cancelled my reservation at the last minute. Horrible customer service and unfriendly staff. they deserve 0 stars.

If I could give this company zero stars, I absolutely would. My husband and I booked a reservation online over a month ago for a 26' truck with furniture pads to complete an out of state move tomorrow. I received a phone call from our pick up location less than 24 hours prior to our pick up time stating our truck would unfortunately be unavailable. Upon calling customer service to inquire about pick up from another location, we were rudely told that our date or truck size would have to change in order to accommodate. When it was further discussed, the person assisting us then stated he would return our call within two hours to find a new pick up location. 5 hours, 1x being hung up on, and 3 calls initiated by me later, we have still been unable to find a truck and resolve this issue. For a move that has been scheduled well in advance, I have never experienced more stress from a truck rental company in my life. This is coming from us performing multiple military related moves within the past. It is unfortunate that I had to then request Budget to cancel my reservation and immediately phoned Penske, who was able to assist me in less than 5 minutes with an earlier pick up and a cheaper price. I will never again attempt to utilize this company nor will I recommend to anyone, unless they're looking to have a horrific experience. My best recommendation would be to hire people that are competent in time management and in communicating with their customers.

The phone number doesn't work. Goes right to Budget National operator. Cannot simply call and ask a question. It immediately starts asking about reservations.
