        I wish I could give this place zero stars. The doctors are great but unfortunately the staff is horrible. Especially Donna I had three encounters with her and shes just so rude . If you dont like people or the job leave. Dont talk to people the way you do its disgusting.

        I think people completely misuse the platform of reviewing doctors with grievances about healthcare system. Doctors Marants and Apfel are wonderful doctors who save lives and their performance have nothing to do with insurance issues, waiting times and so on. There has to be moderator reviewing reviews and sorting out irrelevant ones.

        During an extraordinary stressful time, my husband and I were treated with kindness and compassion from the very beginning of our interactions with Dr. Marans office. The receptionist was friendly and reassuring, and was able to secure an appointment within a week of my call. Dr. Marans was absolutely wonderful and took his time to explain the cardiac condition and answer any questions we had. He is relatable, caring and clearly extremely knowledgeable. My husband and I know that our baby will be in good hands in Dr. Marans care, and we cant imagine choosing another doctor to manage his condition. We are so grateful to have been referred to him.

      Zvi S. Marans, MD

      Zvi S. Marans, MD, associate professor of Pediatrics at Columbia University Medical Center, is a full time faculty member of the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at Columbia. He is based in northern New Jersey, and is the founding and managing partner of a large, regional pediatric cardiology practice in Paramus, NJ. His practice, established in 1990, provides the highest quality academic specialty care in the context of a compassionate and nurturing environment. He specializes in congenital and acquired heart disease in children, and has a specialty interest in fetal cardiology. Dr. Marans is a skilled educator, and teaches a regular class in cardiac anatomy to the Columbia pediatric cardiology fellows. In addition, he is an attending at the pediatric cardiac neonatal intensive care unit at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital at Columbia. His partners are also graduates of the Columbia training program and are full time faculty members at Columbia. He is married to Nina Kampler, a lawyer and retail real estate strategist, and is the father of four children.
